Questions & Answers
What is CBD?
CBD is one of the many chemical compounds present in the hemp plant. These compounds are often referred to as phytocannabinoids. Phyto tells us that they come from a plant, and, cannabinoid, is the name given to closely related compounds found both inside and outside the body.
What is your Endocannabinoid System (ECS)
Your Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is made up of 3 different parts:
- Receptors in the nervous system and around your body that endocannabinoid’s and cannabinoids bond with
- Enzymes that help break down endocannabinoid’s and cannabinoids
When your system is working properly, anything in your body which needs help will receive a direct response immediately to work to regulate that area without impacting any other are of your body. It is automatic, seamless, and the way the system is supposed to work.
“Our bodies are set up to receive cannabinoids.”
What does the Endocannabinoid System protect and regulate?
- Fertility & Pregnancy during and afterward
- Pain Sensation
- Energy Balance
- Response to Stress
- Immune Function
- Physical Exercise
- Female Reproductive
- Pleasure and Reward
- Motor Control
- Central & Peripheral Nervous System
When you look at this list, the ECS covers the entire body regulating system! And, when even one of those areas is out of balance, it affects your whole life in one negative way or another.
Can you check YES to any of the above areas of your body where you are experiencing not the best everyday results? I used to check YES to almost the entire list! I didn’t feel right and living in this fast-paced world didn’t make it easy to get back to normal.
CBD Oil Supports Your ECS
CBD aka Cannabidiol is a plant-based cannabinoid that is derived from THC-Free hemp and gives your body the support it needs without any psychoactive effects. CBD is the exact ingredient you can take internally or even externally through lotions, that triggers your EndoCannabinoid System (ECS) into action! It is fascinating! We have cannabinoids within our bodies already. We are set up to accept CBD. Our cannabinoid receptors are found all over our body.
The ECS is a significant system in your body. In your heart, spleen, gastrointestinal tract, reproductive system, arteries, and your brain. And, CBD attaches to the receptors in this system and tells our body to use more of our own cannabinoids to support healing our bodies where it needs to.
When we are filled with anxiety, have migraines, feel tired but cannot sleep, have brain fog, or feel pain from an injury, our endocannabinoid system has a low tone. That’s what scientists call it, low endocannabinoid tone. Living a healthy and active lifestyle while supporting your system with CBD is recommended. Our ECS sometimes is at a point when it needs extra help, and this is precisely why I take CBD oil daily to keep up a great ECS tone.

How CBD Works
Cannabinoids affect us because they interact with receptors on our cells, many of which are called, cannabinoid receptors. These receptors are found all over our bodies and researchers have identified two specific types of cannabinoid receptors called CB1 and CBD2.
CB1 receptors are found mostly in the brain and central nervous system. And CB2 is closely tied to the activity of the immune system.
CBD interacts with the body through a bunch of other mechanisms, some of which indirectly influence the activity of CB1 and CB2 receptors but now in a lock and key sort of way.
CBD has powerful antioxidant activity and suppresses inflammation, pain, and anxiety.
Is Isolate or Full Spectrum Better?
Primary Green offers CBD Isolate. Studies have shown that some users prefer full-spectrum extract, but CBD isolate is still frequently used and believed by some to be more effective than full-plant extract. This belief is led by the idea that CBD is the only medically sought after cannabinoid in the cannabis plant, aside from THC. Many CBD isolate users believe that by consuming only the CBD cannabinoid and no terpenes or any other “unnecessary” components of the plant, they are getting a more powerful or effective dose of CBD. Furthermore, isolate users feel that they are taking the most efficient route to CBD consumption.
Also, CBD isolate does have something to offer CBD users that full-spectrum extracts does not. The fact that full-spectrum extracts invariably contain low levels of THC means that some users prefer to play it safe and stick to pure CBD by itself, out of fear of failing a drug test or experiencing a form of “high”, although both of these occurrences have been found to be fairly unlikely.
Will CBD Get Me High?
